Parish

On 24th May 1985, the then Trivandrum Diocese Metropolitan, H. G. Geevarghese Mar Deoscoros issued a decree, ordaining the congregation at the chapel as an independent parish. Fr. Joseph Samuel Karukayil assumed charge as Vicar. An ad-hoc committee consisting of Mr. P.S. Idiculla(Trustee), Mr. Daniel Varghese(Secretary) and P. V. James(Auditor) was constituted. Mr. M. C. Jacob, P. E. Varghese, P. A. Abraham, N. K. Alex, Y. Geevarghese were posted as committee members.

The ad-hoc committee identified the Syrian Orthodox Christian families in the neighborhood and prepared a registry of them. The Thirumeni vetted the enrollment as permanent members, for the General Body Meeting.
